Baldwin County DA Hallie Dixon plans to expand pre-trial intervention program

District Attorney Hallie Dixon earlier this month said in an interview that through pre-trial intervention and other programs, she hopes as many as 50 percent of court cases can be resolved before reaching the indictment stage, saving money and resources. With this program and a restitution and recovery status docket, more than 450 drug possession and nonviolent property crime cases have been resolved prior
to indictment in nearly six months, she said.
